FAQ - Copy Services
Q. Can I bring in my files, edit them and then print to your copiers? How about color copies?
A. Yes, you can bring in your files, edit them our self-service computers
and then print them to any of our copiers, including
the color copier.
Q. How do I submit a full-service copy job?
A. There are several ways to send us your copy jobs. Documents may be submitted
via this website (this will work well for documents
you have on your computer or online), if you have paper
originals, a disk or need documents scanned, we can pick up your originals.
Of course if you prefer, you may drop off your job
here at the store and pick the copies later. We accept most
common media and portable drives.
Q. What kind of files do you accept for full-service printing?
A. If you are uploading your file via our online copy service we strongly
suggest converting your file to a PDF to ensure your file prints the way you intended.
PDF files are a very good way to keep all your fonts, graphics and page formatting
in one file and should print out the same on most printers.
If you need to submit a file and can not upload it via our website, we will pick
it up anywhere on campus or in downtown Minneapolis. If you have a file in a format
other than PDF or have additional questions, please visit our File Submission Guidelines page.
Q. Do I have to open an account to submit a copy job?
A. No. We added this feature as an option in order to make the copy submission
process easier for repeat users.
Q. What kinds and colors of paper do you stock?
A. Under the Service Descriptions
section on our site there is a selection of the colors and
types of papers we have in stock. However this is just a sample of the
many colors, weights and finishes of papers that
we have available for ordering (allow 2 days). We can match
most colors and types of papers available.
Q. Can you make prints from computer files? How about in color?
A. Yes, all of our copiers, including our color copiers, are also digital
copiers. This means we can print your documents
(including color files) directly from our computers to our
copiers. We can also make color copies and transparencies from a hard
copy.
Q. What about copy quality?
A. Our copiers are digital (they will scan your original once and then print
out all the copies) because of this "scan once print
many" design they will break down less and each copy is laser
printer quality. Because any machine will eventually breakdown, we maintain full
service contracts to ensure speedy repairs. We use
several high volume copiers, so even if one of our
copiers is being repaired, we are never totally without copying capability.
Q. How long does it take to copy a large job?
A. Our large copy capacity allows most jobs to be completed in a few hours
to a couple of days - depending on the size and
features of the job.
